There's a lot to chew on in this article from W/ Blake Gray "Gen-X Back in Wine's Good Books".

The Good News

  • Gen-X is being recognized as wine's most important customers. Yeah, baby! That's me...
  • Boomers are continuing to enjoy good wine longer than previous generations.
  • Millenials, although drinking less wine than previous generations, enjoy better quality wine. At least, those that can afford it.

The Bad News

  • Millennials are drinking less wine.
  • For how much longer Boomers will continue to enjoy wine is uncertain.
  • Large wineries / lower price wines have highly uncertain future growth.

What I Think

The article above offers a lot of data to digest. But one thing is for sure, our marketing messages have to speak more clearly to the Gen-X and Boomer generations. And if my own Gen-X experience is illustrative, then using an argon wine preserver like Silvadore fits perfectly into the lifestyle of enjoying a single glass or two of high quality wine with dinner, or whenever I want, without sacrificing the fresh taste of the open bottle of good quality wine.

Don't use a wine preserver yet? Try Silvadore Wine Preserver and enjoy a fresh tasting glass of wine whenever you want. Enjoy the freedom to buy and enjoy better quality wine.
